When Your Faith Costs You Everything…
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. (2 Corinthians 5:8) That’s what God’s Word tells us. Someday we will see him face to faith. (1 Corinthians 13:12) As Christians that’s how we live our lives every day.
I lost my mother at an early age, and I learned through the scriptures that she was now part of a cloud of witnesses cheering me on. Those that have gone before us have joined the cloud of witnesses as well. (Hebrews 12:1-2)
It is a sad day in America when people shoot each other and have such hatred for one another. It is a sad day that there is no value placed on human life. I think of Mother Teresa this morning and although I am not Catholic, I love my brothers and sisters that are. I review some of her most precious sayings this morning. She spoke strongly on her belief on the destroyer of peace.
Together, let’s pray God’s Word this morning.
Psalm 145:9 The Lord is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made.
Psalm 86:5 You, Lord, are forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call to you.
Luke 6:36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.
Father, thank you for mercy over America and our lives as individuals. Father, help us to be merciful people. We don’t know what another person’s journey is like. We don’t fully understand why people act and react the way they do. Sometimes people respond out of fear.
Father, help us not to live offended lives, but to offer mercy. Father, you are good to all and full of compassion. May our hearts be more like yours we pray, merciful. Amen.
Have a blessed day God’s most beautiful people, for this is the day the Lord has made, and we will rejoice and be glad in it. Be merciful today, because your Father has shown mercy to you.
