Trusting In The God Of Covenant…
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. Happy Sunday. Today at church the preacher spoke about the difference between covenant and promise. Promises get broken but God’s covenant with us will never be broken.
Let’s read Psalms 89 1-8 together this morning:
I will sing of the Lord’s great love forever; with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known through all generations.
I will declare that your love stands firm forever, that you have established your faithfulness in heaven itself. You said, “I have made a covenant with my chosen one, I have sworn to David my servant, ‘I will establish your line forever and make your throne firm through all generations.’ The heavens praise your wonders, Lord, your faithfulness too, in the assembly of the holy ones. For who in the skies above can compare with the Lord? Who is like the Lord among the heavenly beings? In the council of the holy ones God is greatly feared; he is more awesome than all who surround him. Who is like you, Lord God Almighty? You, Lord, are mighty, and your faithfulness surrounds you.
Let’s pray:
Father, thank you for being a covenant keeping God. Luke 22:20 And the cup likewise after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is poured out for you.
Father, you use everything we go through in life to mold us and shape us more into your likeness, and we give you thanks. Your Word tells us nothing can separate us from your love. And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:38-39 NLT)
Father, for this alone we are forever grateful. Amen.
Have a blessed day God’s most beautiful people. Trust in the God of covenant.
