Grace And Forgiveness Granted In The Waiting Room… Angel’s Prayer Of The Day

Grace And Forgiveness Granted In The Waiting Room…

Good morning beautiful people, good morning. I have a story I want to share with you from a radio interview I had last week. I think you will enjoy it and it is a good reminder to us all about forgiveness.

As I was preparing to interview my guests last week on my radio program Destiny Moments, there was a little disturbance. I was busy helping get the studio ready for the live on-air show. I stepped out into the waiting area and two of my grandkids were having a few words with each other. One had tears in his eyes, crying as he said these words. I asked you to forgive me two years ago for that. Now I won’t be able to be on the radio as I am all messed up. His chair twirled around to the wall so that the tears of an eleven-year-old couldn’t be seen. His sister rolled her pant leg up and pointed to an exact location and said, see the mark, that mark is still there. I looked close trying to discover what could have possibly happened. Quite honestly, I couldn’t see any mark on the knee, but I inquired if she could forgive him. She replied with a yes, a little hesitant at first, but her head began to bop up and down. The atmosphere began to shift in the waiting room to the studio that day, as forgiveness was being considered and granted.

Together, we shared the importance of forgiveness as my third guest Maisie Grace sat quietly looking on with eyes as big as saucers.

As the time approached to be on the air, only one decided to enter the studio. The others decided to stay behind. The one that chose to forgive and Maise Grace who didn’t know anything about the incident from years ago, decided they would remain in the waiting area.

Later that afternoon after talking with my daughter, I discovered the incident that happened 365 days ago- times two, was this: They were playing hockey in the garage and my eight-year-old granddaughter was accidentally hit on the knee. I can’t quite remember if it was the puck or the stick that hit the knee, but the memory of it came to mind in the waiting room right before going on the air. The timing of the memory that needed grace and forgiveness.

How about you this morning? Are you holding a grudge? Have you offered forgiveness or are you still in the waiting room? Let’s pray God will give you the grace to forgive. It’s all called Amazing Grace…

Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. Ephesians 4:32 NIV
