What Is Your Story?
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. Happy Friday. We all have a journey, a path in life, and every life has a story. Some beautiful people will be born with silver spoons in their mouths so to speak and others will be born into a family that will pray for their very next meal. Both need Jesus to write their story.
As I spoke at a conference a few years ago and shared some of my story, another individual shared from her life story. We were from opposite sides of the nation with totally different backgrounds and stories. She was from California and I was from Maine. One grew up with great riches and never wanted for anything and the other grew up in poverty. Our love for Jesus and to do his work brought us together. As we ministered at that conference you would never know by looking at us which one had which story. God has a way of re-writing life stories. We both discovered the greatest riches came from God and his love for us, and it was nothing that money could ever buy. No man can give you this and no man can take this away. It’s a God in love with his people and a God who loves to write and re-write life stories. Are you ready to step into a new day with the author of your story? Are you ready for God to write or re-write your story? Let’s dedicate the day to him and ask him to lead the day?
Let’s pray:
Father, maker of heaven and earth and writer of our life stories, we worship you this morning. We are a thankful people, and we love journeying life with you. You are an amazing God, and you bring good from the most difficult circumstances. We can put all our trust in you. Lead us today in the path in which we should go.
Father, write and re-write stories in people’s lives all across this globe, because you do and you can. You alone are the author and finisher of our faith. (Hebrews 12:2)
Father, the greatest wealth we will ever know is the wealth of the Holy Spirit living inside of us. We are carriers of your glory.
Father, we want to know you more every day. We want to continue to walk in the abundant life you have for us. We want to experience the John 10:10 life to its fullest. Amen.
Have a blessed day God’s most beautiful people. Talk to Jesus this morning about your story. You will discover he is the best Father and will be the author of your story.
Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful; I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand—when I awake, I am still with you.
