Thankful Thursday In The City…
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. It’s Thursday once again. I love thankful Thursday. I look forward to it every week. I can barely believe it is October 1. Harvest, harvest, harvest.
When we are grateful for what we have, it pleases God. He tells us every blessing that we have is because he has allowed it. James 1:17 tells us that every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change. Philippians 4:19 tells us that our God will supply every need of ours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. That’s something to be thankful for. I like to remind God of his promises. I like to meditate on them both day and night.
Today let’s pray for our cities and towns once again that God will visit where we live with his presence. I know he will give back double for the trouble because his Word says so in Isaiah 61. Amen?
Let’s pray:
Father, thank you for visiting the city of Presque Isle like never before (name your town or city). We desire more of your presence in our city. Father, may your Holy Spirit be evident in every church that teaches and preaches the gospel of Jesus Christ. May we come together because we share the same Heavenly Father. Not because we believe exactly the same, but because God you command a blessing where there is unity. (Psalm 133)
Father, we pray you meet the needs of the people in our city. We pray no one goes hungry, and they will stay warm this season. We pray, oh God, that this city will reflect the love of Jesus. May your presence in our city, oh God, draw many to experience the presence of a God that is in love with his people. Amen.
