Out With The Old And In With The New… Angel’s Prayer Of The Day

Out With The Old And In With The New…

Good morning beautiful people, good morning. Happy Wednesday! Recently, I had one of my grandsons on the airwaves here in Maine. He shared one of his favorite verses from the Bible. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go from Joshua 1:9. He told me he has a chain with a cross that has those words imprinted on it.

I received an early Christmas gift from a friend this year. This same scripture was framed and had a gold sparkled border around it. I put it right under my mantle until I find the perfect place to hang it. Right under my families’ pictures.

On the way home from taking my daughter and family back to the airport, I noticed I lost the gold chain I usually wear around my neck. I was saddened by it. I don’t have a lot of jewelry and this necklace I wear just about every day. Of course I talked to my Heavenly Father about it. I told him I don’t like to lose anything and asked him to help me recover it. Guess what? He did.

As I was brushing my teeth one morning, I saw a gold sparkle in my bathroom sink drain. Upon further investigation, there was my chain. I have a new vanity in the basement to be installed that came with the home I purchased. I hadn’t bought any stoppers for this old sink as I knew I would be eventually getting the new one put in. The chain must have fallen in the sink the morning we were leaving to make our way to the airport.

I am thankful no matter what we walk through in life, we don’t have to fear, and we don’t need to be discouraged. Our God is with us, and we will recover all. David recovered all in 1 Samuel and so will we. Let’s close the books on 2025 and receive all the blessings God has for us in 2026. Amen?

Let’s Pray:

Father, thank you for journeying every day with us. You are a good God and the best Father. You show us your love in so many ways. You always have our back. No matter what life brings, you have gone before us and make a way. You are also our rear guard. We are hemmed in.

Father, thank you for new beginnings in 2026. We are a blessed people. Amen.

Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is his faithfulness. (Lamentations 3:22-23)
