God Answers The Simplest Of Prayers…
Good morning beautiful people. Happy Friday! I wanted to share another one of my stories of God’s faithfulness. It was a last-minute change of plans, and my daughter and family were flying in on Sunday instead of Saturday. My sister and I wanted to attend a funeral service on Saturday, but I wasn’t available to drive the one hour north. The Saturday of the funeral came, and I called my sister to tell her the change of plans and let her know I could indeed drive us. We had approximately an hour drive and I told my sister I would pick her up at 9:30 for the 11:00 AM service. That would give us plenty of time.
I arrived 15 minutes late and we were on our way with still plenty of time to arrive on time. I asked my sister the address of where we would be attending this service and she began to look up the address only to discover the time of the service was at 10:00 AM and not 11:00 as we had planned. It was 10:00 AM already and we had at least forty-five minutes to drive yet ahead of us. We had gotten the time wrong.
I prayed a simple prayer something like; God this means a lot to us, my sister really wanted to attend, and you made it possible for her to go. Now we have messed it all up with the wrong time. Can you make sure our cousin knows we are there, I asked of God.
We continued to make our way up the Northern Maine Woods and arrived extremely late of course. We found our seat in the back row as a dear lady pushed her way down the pew. We heard the ending to one of her sons speak and then a song and closing.
As the family began to make their way down the aisle row by row, my cousin stopped and spoke to my sister. She was so surprised to see her there. She said something like I never expected you to be here today. On our way out of the church that morning, we spoke to her again and she invited us to her home after the service. God heard and answered our prayer.
I am so thankful that God hears every prayer. He even answers the simplest of prayers just to help us with our mistakes. He was never looking for perfect people to journey life with; he was looking for imperfect people needing a Savior. That would be you and that would be me.
For the Lord will go before you, the God of Israel will be your rear guard. (Isaiah 52:12)

Father, you tell us to call on you, and you would answer. (Psalm 91:15) Thank you for hearing the simplest of prayers and answering accordingly.
Father, it’s hard to find the words to express our deepest gratitude to a God that loves us so much.
Father, we join faith together this morning for every need your people have. You know before we even ask. (Matthew 6:8) Meet us at our point of need this morning. Amen.
