We Are A Loved People Even In Trials… Angel’s Prayer Of The Day

We Are A Loved People Even In Trials…

Good morning beautiful people, good morning. On my little adventure last weekend, I heard a pastor talk on counting trials as all joy. We all know that scripture right in James Chapter 1. Let’s read some scripture from James together this morning.

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.

I remember the first time I read that scripture; I didn’t like it. Trials and joy didn’t seem to go together for me. I remember talking to God like—thanks, but no thanks. No more trials please; not for a while. Haven’t I been through enough God? I wrestled it out on my knees.

As I glanced back after hearing that sermon, it was in the trials that I grew the most. It was during that time I gained strength, and now although weeping endured in the trials, I became stronger. There were many, many nights of weeping, but joy finally returned to my life. How about you? What are your thoughts about trials and joy?

Let’s Pray:

Father, thank you for wisdom this morning. You told us to ask, and we would freely receive it. Thank you for the trials, thank you for strength. Thank you for working all things out for our good. (Romans 8:28)

Father your Word tells us in 2 Corinthians 12:9-11 “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Father, I’m not so sure I am delighting in weaknesses and difficulties, but I am sure that when I am weak, you carry me through and makes me strong again. Amen.

Have a blessed day God’s most beautiful people. He loves you in and through every trial.
