Remembering The Good Times… Angel’s Prayer Of The Day

Remembering The Good Times…

Good morning beautiful people, good morning. Happy Friday! Laughter is good medicine. Yes, yes, it is! I tend to be more on the serious side and must remind myself frequently not to take life so seriously. We are here to enjoy life. That’s what the Bible tells us in John 10:10.

My daughter and I were talking about when they were much younger, I would take them up a hill to slide down behind a school here in the Star City. I had more mishaps coming down that hill. It was fun to remember those times. The fright of hitting that brick school building again caused me to jump ship early on the ride down. I would dress us all with such heavy clothes and snow suits that we could barely make the trip back up the hill.

I never liked heights too much. I never did understand why, because I love to fly. When we would go on rides at theme parks throughout their years, you would catch me singing “All Is Well With My Soul”. I was a chicken, but would give it all a try. I remember one water park where I made it to the top of the ladder. I was a little shaky, but made the height without looking down. The attendant yelled lady are you going to go? You are holding up the line. I was still anticipating when I felt a push from behind and arrived to some folks full of laughter. Oh my!

Today, let’s remember some good times and find some humor in our day. Amen?

Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations, ‘The Lord has done great things for them’. Psalms 126:2

Father, thank you for another day, for this is the day the Lord has made, and we will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24

Father, thank you that the joy of the Lord is our strength. (Nehemiah 8:10) Today we thank you for all the joy we have in our lives. We pray increase in the joy and good memories as we put the past in the past and press on toward the prize of the high calling in Jesus Christ. (Philippians 3:14)

Father, thank you that there are no mountains we can’t climb with you. You are a good God, and we will praise you all the days of our lives. Amen.

Have a blessed day God’s most beautiful people. Remember the good times today and the faithfulness of our God. Laugh often! It’s good for the soul.
