The Gift Of Motherhood…
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. This morning I was thinking about my mother and the life God ordained for each of us from the womb in which we were born. My thoughts were all over the place really in what to write this morning. In years past, I have written about my mom and the gem I found on her plot. I have written about myself as a mother and my adult daughters as mothers. Then I remembered this: a drawing that was given to me after a speaking engagement at a conference in Edmundston, Canada. A young lady drew a picture that she said would be the cover of a book I would write someday. She was not an artist but had a nudging to draw while I was speaking on that day. It was her very first drawing and I believe she is a very gifted prophetic artist. I had only seen her that one time and don’t even know her name.
The feathered pen in a jar of ink made me ponder what I would pen, just like this morning. Then I remembered at Global Awakening recently, another nugget I received. God is always speaking to us. I pray we are always listening.
Today is a day to celebrate. Even when there has been loss, God covers it all. Our days were written before time ever began. He is a God full of love, mercy and much grace. He holds the whole world in his hands. Life is a precious gift beautiful people, so enjoy every day.
Let’s Pray:
Father, Psalm 139 tells us you oh God created our innermost being; you knit us together in our mother’s womb. We praise you because we are fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful; we know that full well. Our frame was not hidden from you when we were made in the secret place, when we were woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw our unformed body; all the days ordained for us were written in your book before one of them came to be. How precious to us are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them! Were we to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand—when we awake, we are still with you.
Father, thank you for our mothers, spiritual mothers, foster mothers, God mothers, women of impact and the many women carrying child today-soon to be mothers. May they all be blessed today. Amen.
Celebrate today. Celebrate motherhood, celebrate life, and celebrate each other. Life is a precious gift from God, enjoy.
