A Walk Of Faith…
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. I was walking into a grocery store recently, and a dollar bill was folded up outside on the ground by the front door. I picked it up and said to my co-worker, I wonder what God wants me to buy with this. I know people that have bought buildings for a $1.00 I told her. Most generally if I find anything I would turn it into a customer service desk. This time seemed different. It was outside, folded up like it was placed there just for me.
Yesterday, I was telling my co-worker about a yard sale I was involved in years ago. I was part of a ministry that needed money. I walked through my home and inquired of God if there was anything that I had missed to donate that was mine (I was married at the time) that would be meaningful to someone. I remember that last walk through after having my little red Ford escape packed up. He said yes there was. I had two small pillows with a gold braided rope hanging from a shelf in my kitchen. One said trust in the Lord with all thine heart and not lean on thine own understanding. The other pillow said I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I put them in the car and drove to the sale.
Driving home I inquired of God once again. God this makes no sense, I talked it out with him, other than I love you. I donated my items and now I purchased items and filled my car back up, just to help a struggling ministry. I heard nothing back that day but knew I was on a trust God journey.
Even when we don’t understand, when things look hopeless, we have a God in whom we can place our trust. I have seen him multiply dollars and make things possible that were impossible with man. If you are walking with Jesus today, tell yourself two things. Ready for a great day?
- I am going to trust God with all my heart and lean not on my own understanding. Proverbs 3:5
- I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13
Talk it all out with him and receive his promise today. Amen.
