Forgiven To Forgive…
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. Forgiveness was on my mind this morning. We choose to forgive others because we have been forgiven. It seems the deeper the wound, the harder it is to forgive. Forgiveness is a key to our daily lives.
Let’s ask God to give us the grace to forgive. If we don’t need it today, we will sometime in our life. I haven’t met anyone that hasn’t been hurt in the journey called life. How about you? Where are you in the journey of forgiveness?
Let’s pray:
Father, thank you for forgiveness of our sins. Give us the grace to forgive others as you forgive us. Mark 11:25 tells us when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins. Forgiveness is not earned, deserved and it doesn’t make what’s wrong right. It does however free us to live out our lives according to your desires. By forgiving others, we set the captive free. That captive sometimes is us.
Father, purify our hearts today. Purify our motives and purify our minds, so that we can look at the world through your eyes and continue our journey with the same forgiveness, love, compassion, joy, understanding that you have given to us. Because we have been forgiven much, we can forgive.
Father, we choose to release today all offenses, hurts, bitterness, and resentments. We replace it with forgiveness and apply the healing balm of Gilead. Amen.
