Yes God! We Say Yes To Change…

Good morning beautiful people, good morning. Remember the saying March winds brings April showers which brings May flowers? I like the sound of all of that. It’s March and it’s time for fresh wind, refreshing and change. I am beginning to like change. We are twenty days in the beautiful month of March and I am believing this is my best year yet and your best year yet. I am believing for God’s blessings on our lives, families and everything we put our hand to. I am believing all God’s promises. How about you?

I wanted to share this morning once again from an experience I was part of that brought change to the way I looked at ministry and did ministry. It certainly was winds of change in my life. I was part of a team years ago that took evangelism to a new level. At least it was a new level for me. I was a bit challenged at first, but I saw the results firsthand. Our team would go outside night clubs, on the streets at night and we would meet people. We would pray with them and ask God to drop something in one of our teams hearts for that person. Sometimes the people were intoxicated, on drugs, sometimes they were not. It didn’t change a thing. Their life issues didn’t bother God, so we didn’t let them bother us either. We looked straight to their beating heart. God always came through. He had something to say to every person we ministered to. We made them feel like the most important person on the planet, because they were, they are to God. It was there on the streets, in that city (second largest city in the U.S.) that I discovered how much God loved people. People didn’t need to live up to my expectations, how I thought they should live, be or how things appeared. God was looking straight to their heart. He met them right where they were at, gave them encouraging words and hope for their lives from total strangers. That was a big change on how to evangelize for me. That experience has never left me, and I never want to be part of anything that doesn’t show his love and mercy to a hurting world. How about you? Ready for some March winds to blow in and change how you do things? Can God upset the order of things in your house today?

Let’s Pray:

Father, thank you for breathing new life into our dry thirsty land. Father, thank you that you died for people. Thank you for mercy and grace. None of us are worthy to receive what you have freely given for mankind. May we never get so “big feeling” that we look down on others. Help us to always help one another. Everyone is important to you. Your heart is for everyone.

Father, thank you for blowing fresh on us today. Blow fresh on our lives, communities, churches, towns, cities, nation. Father, start right here in Aroostook County, Maine and blow right on through to the nations of the world, we pray. Blow mighty wind, blow. Amen.

Have a blessed day God’s most beautiful people. Thank him for fresh March winds in your life today. Ready for some change?

Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Matthew 7:1-3
