Thankful Thursday In The City…
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. Happy Thursday! We have lot’s to be thankful for today. Once again, we will have prayer and worship in the heart of our city, the city of Presque Isle. I look forward to Thursdays. Every week, every meeting is different. I hope you can join us sometime when you are visiting our city. It is so nice to see God’s beautiful people use their God-given gifts during this time. Someone may have a word of knowledge, someone may have a Bible verse, someone may have need of personal prayer and you never know what God will speak to us through his Word and his beautiful people.
I was thinking of things in the city to be thankful for this morning. Leaders who are trying to lead the city, with many learning as they go. We have a beautiful recreational facility called Sargents. Last evening I watched my grandson play soccer in a nice field across the street from the building. A library that we can visit that is fit for a king or queen. We have two colleges in our city to educate our kids here and from far away. We are thankful for our medical center and airport. The beautiful flowers throughout our city add the final touch. I am thankful for our city, the city of Presque Isle. I hope you are thankful for your town and city and let’s continue to pray for everything and everyone within our towns and cities. Amen?
Let’s pray:
Father, thank you for all you are doing within our city. We thank you for the leaders today. We do ask you Lord for the wisdom of Soloman for them. A position many would not attempt. May they make the best decisions for our city.
Father, thank you for churches where people can worship you freely and can seek your face. Father, we thank you for protecting our children and grandchildren as they travel to and fro from school. Expose any darkness lurking in and around our children and our city in any way we pray.
Father, may our city be a beacon of light for all to see. Thank you for watching over all that concerns us and our city this morning. Isaiah 58:12 tells us that your people will rebuild the ancient ruins and will raise up the age-old foundations; we will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings. To that we say, Amen.
Have a blessed day God’s most beautiful people. Continue to be thankful and pray for your town or city. God hears our prayers. He tells us to call on him and he will answer. (Jeremiah 33:3)
