Holy Spirit Hover Over America And Beyond We Pray…
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. Happy Tuesday! Today let’s pray that the Holy Spirit would hover over America. Let’s pray that the cloud of glory would hover over this land from sea to sea over this great nation. I read David’s prayer in Psalm 72 this morning once again. Verse 8 it reads this: May he rule from sea to sea and from the river to the ends of the earth. Verse 11 May all kings bow down to him and all nations serve him. For he will deliver the needy who cry out, the afflicted who have no one to help. He will take pity on the weak and the needy and save the needy from death. He will rescue them from oppression and violence, for precious is their blood in his sight. Verse 18 and 19 says praise be to the Lord God, the God of Israel, who alone does marvelous deeds. Praise be to his glorious name forever; may the whole earth be filled with his glory. That’s just what we want. The whole earth to be filled with God’s glory.
I remember signing up for a ministry almost twenty years ago now about bringing the gospel to the ends of the earth. In my travels people would tell me that I live at the ends of the earth here in Maine. I know on my last stretch of returning home, it did indeed feel just like that. Long plane rides and car rides that seemed to take forever.
Today, the river of God is moving here in Maine, it sure is. The darkness tries to overtake the light it seems at times, but it will never win. The light snuffs out the darkness and Jesus always wins.
Let’s Pray:
Father, thank you for life. Thank you that nothing can separate us from your love. From the Crown of Maine to 7 continents of the world, we declare and decree that we know in whom we belong. In God we place our trust. There is nothing that can pluck us from your hand. (John 10:28) We are yours.
Father, we petition you this morning for breakthrough. We see your hand moving and we pray every mountain be brought down low in our lives, in our nation and in our world.
Father, your love flows like a mighty river, Lord, we receive it all. Holy Spirit our comforter and friend, teach us all things. The fullness of the Godhead, rivers of mercy, rivers of grace keep pouring down over us. Never to be the same, dry parched land behind us, waves, rivers, high tide, waters overtake us. Everything we need is in the river, the river of God. Our lives transformed and never to be the same.
Father, draw us close today. Drive out any darkness by the power of your name. Fill our lives with your glory and may we carry it all the days of our lives. For your glory alone. Amen.
Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them. (John 7:38)
