God Moves Even In The Wilderness…
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. As you know I am full of stories of journeying life with Jesus. Today at church Dr. Jeffrey Bell from Faith Bible College was preaching. He preached on step it up. It quickened my spirit and I will be seeking God how he wants me to step it up. How about you? Ready for a step up?
I wanted to share a little story about a gas card I received one day. I was working a job and traveled throughout Aroostook County. Allagash one day, Bancroft the next. Wilderness living at its best. Some places where I traveled the phone service didn’t work, so I always made sure my vehicle had plenty of gas.
The leader of the organization I worked for decided to subtract miles from our weekly pay. Her thinking was she had to drive 20 miles to work and 20 miles home and didn’t get paid for mileage that we shouldn’t either. We were working from our home. I didn’t think that was very nice and decided to talk to God about it on my way to a home visit in the southern part of Aroostook. Can’t you hear me now talking it over with the big guy upstairs that works all things out for my good? I was talking it out something like this; Jesus I work for you; I do what I do to care for your folks and now they are cutting back my mileage check. Hey, God what do you say? I am a little upset, but you are my provider and I am going to roll this one over to you. Then I put my music on and headed south.
I had a small sound system we were going to use for an upcoming conference in my vehicle. As I approached Whited Bible Camp, there were a few men talking near the front and I pulled in and gave it to one of them to put in place for our meeting. One Pastor came to me and passed me a gas card. He said he felt impressed to give it to me. Does God hear us when we pray? Thank you for hearing the voice of God Pastor Wes Faloon.
Another time I was going to Canada to prepare for an upcoming conference. I had $40.00. The person that was going to drive that day, backed out. I had planned on giving her twenty dollars for gas and have twenty dollars for meals. I had it all planned out. Then she called to cancel to say she couldn’t go. Once again, I spoke to the God that handles my affairs. I am sure it was no coincidence that I just happened to interview Dr. Jeffrey Bell on my lunch that day on the subject faith. I prepared as I had everything I needed. I packed my vehicle like I was going to Canada. God provided a friend to go with me that knew the way and also a knock came on the door and a nice person said they felt God told them to bring me a hundred dollars. They inquired what I needed it for? I told them about my trip to Canada. Needless to say, God had it well covered.
I love to know God like this. I love to hear his voice, and I love to believe him for big things. I can step it up. Show me God, I pray. Give me grace to trust you more in the days ahead. How about you?
Let’s Pray:
Father, thank you that you meet our every need. Father, thank you that every good gift comes from your hand. 1 Chronicles 29:14 But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.
Father, no matter what we have need of today we can lift up our prayers to a God who supplies. And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen. (Philippians 4:19-20)
Have a blessed day God’s most beautiful people. Thank God, he will show us how to step it up in the days ahead and he will always provide.
