Dream Big Little One…
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. Yesterday, I rec’d a message on my phone that said Grammy, will you take me to Bangor? This little girl’s voice changed the course of my day. I am not even sure she knew where Bangor was until we began to make the two-and-a-half-hour journey. As we traveled south, we made plans of what the day may look like.
On one of our stops, she was drawn to Give It To God prayer boxes. This seven-year-old picked up two, one for her and one for her brother. She placed them in the cart so matter of fact that I never questioned the $1.25 price for each. She was wearing her best big sister shirt yesterday and I guess I know why.
This box was the same kind of box that she took out of my kitchen drawer many years ago that I penned about. A Child’s Prayer Journal… Angel’s Prayer Of The Day | For God’s Glory Alone Ministries (fggam.org) Her find of these little boxes amazed me because of the size of the store we were in. Kids are amazing.
Today, let’s thank God for the gift of children. Let’s thank him that he has plans for every child. Let’s pray that they too will know the power in prayer. Amen?
Let’s Pray:
Father, thank you for the gift of children. As much as we love our children and grandchildren, you love them more.
Father, today we pray that you would keep them on the straight and narrow path. Thank you for giving your angels charge over them. (Psalm 91)
Father, may they learn early the power of prayer. Your Word tells us that it’s not by might, nor by power, but your spirit. (Zechariah 4:6)
Spirit of God fall fresh on them today. Amen.
Have a blessed day God’s most beautiful people. Bless a child today.
Blessed is she who would believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her. Luke 1:45
These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Deuteronomy 6:6-7
