A God Given Day…
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. Happy Tuesday. I know we don’t always wake up happy. The mind is quite complex. When we wake up sometimes, we are reminded of yesterday, other times our thoughts lean towards some problem we have going on or anxious thoughts of what’s next-always foreboding. One thing we must remind ourselves is that this is the day God has given us. We get to choose what we will do with this day. This day will never come around again. It’s a God given day.
Last week, I lined up with the other cars to pick my grandson Jax up after school. He came out and proudly lowered the American flag for the last school day. That is what he had done every day during the year in his little town of Mapleton, Maine. He was proud as a peacock, and we were proud of all he had accomplished this year. The chain with a cross on it designed like the American Flag was a perfect gift for his fifth-grade graduation gift. My grandson Emmett had picked it out not even knowing this was his task at school. God is so good and I am going to enjoy the beautiful day. How about you?
Let’s pray:
Father, thank you for another day, a day to celebrate the joy of life. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows, James tells us in 1:17.
Father, highlight the things our eyes need to see and let us be quick to hear what your spirit is saying today. Empower us to overcome the barriers of life as we put our trust in you. Guide us today and every day for you know the plans you have for us (Jeremiah 29:11) and we want to fulfill it.
Father, flow through us today by the power of your Holy Spirit and may all we put our hands too be blessed according to your Word. Amen.
Have a blessed day God’s most beautiful people, simply be thankful for the day.
May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us—yes, establish the work of our hands. (Psalm 90:17)
Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans. (Proverbs 16:3)
